Everything new in iOS 16 beta 4: Messages history, Lock Screen, wallpapers, & more

Apple has released the fourth beta of iOS 16 to developers and here is what telemart has uncovered so far about the features and everything new it has to offer.

Messages:

Apple has made some unique changes in the editing and unsending messages in the Messages app. You will be able to edit your messages in 15 minutes after sending them but only two minutes to unsend a message.

Moreover, both the sender and the receiver will be able to see the logs of the changes that were made. There is an option of edited below the edited message, upon clicking it you will be able to see the original message.

You can edit the message up to 5 times with the whole log of changes visible. On the other hand, when you unsent a message no history of the message is available other than that a message has been deleted.

Lock Screen:

The astronomy Lock Screen appears to have been refined. The sun now looks more diffused and sports a brighter white compared to the third beta. Apple has added more detail and color to Earth, Saturn, and some other planets.

When you want to create or edit a Lock Screen, there is new text that informs you that widgets can be added.

You can also add live activities to your lock screen. You can see your Uber Eats order status, live score of your favorite game, or when your food order is arriving.

Other Changes:

You can now edit the undo send delay length in Mail. You can now select off, 10 seconds, 20 seconds or 30 seconds instead of just getting the 20 seconds options.

Apple has also added 2 new wallpapers. One wallpaper featuring diffused flowers in the sun and the other one featuring a blurred white wall.

Moreover, Apple has added three new wallpaper options for CarPlay users.
