Apple has introduced a number of unique changes to the iPhone’s lock screen in its iOS 16 which is currently available in the beta version.
Now Apple gives you a plethora of customizable options on the lock screen and has introduced widgets to be appeared on the Lock screen for the first time.
Apple also lets you choose how you want notifications to appear on your Lock screen. You can hide them altogether and they can be revealed to you with just a tap.
Due to the latest changes in the lock screen, the notifications appear on the bottom of the screen and are stacked on top of one another. However, if you don’t like them stacked like this you can always select the traditional listing setting or you can set them to be displayed as a number (number of notifications) which you can tap and the notifications will be revealed to you.

Follow these steps to change the way your notifications appear on the Lock Screen in iOS 16, which is currently available in beta.
- Launch the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap Notifications.
- Tap Display As.
- Tap Count/Stack/List to select it.
