WhatsApp will now let users to transfer their chat history from their Android devices to IOS devices in the new update.
In the previous update which came in October, WhatsApp allowed uses to migrate their data from IOS devices to Android devices specifically Samsung and Google Pixel devices.
According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is now looking forward to introduce “Move Chats to IOS” feature. WhatsApp will ask for permission from the user before importing the chat history to IOS. However, the users will only get this option one time. The user will not be able to migrate the data later if this step is skipped in the first place. Skipping the step will not show you the prompt again.
Once you will give permission to migrate your data to IOS, the application will instruct you to keep your app open and your phone unlocked as it transfers the chats and data.
It is not yet known that which android devices will support this feature. However, according to some sources, the users will be allowed to transfer the data from devices which are running on latest Android 12 version.
Moreover, WhatsApp is planning to introduce new media editing features in the coming update. For example, it will allow the user to draw on images before sending them. Users will also be given three different pencil sizes and types. It is also introducing a blur feature which will allow users to blur the desired content in the images before sending them.
